If you’ve landed here, you’re probably dealing with something that’s changed how you move — and you’re looking for someone who truly gets it. I do.
I’m Eno Ekwere Gordon, PT — founder and lead physical therapist at The Nerve to Heal Rehabilitation. I live in the greater Charlotte / Waxhaw–Marvin area with my husband and our four children. Physical therapy isn’t just my career. It saved my life.
As a child, I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a potentially life-threatening neurological condition that temporarily left me paralyzed from the waist down. Through physical therapy, I made a full recovery without any lasting effects. That experience restored my hope and inspired a decision that would shape the rest of my life—at just eight years old, I knew I wanted to become a physical therapist.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (2002) and Master’s in Physical Therapy (2003)
from Florida International University. Over 20+ years I’ve worked across outpatient clinics, home
health, hospitals, assisted living, and skilled nursing — which means I’ve seen what works, what
doesn’t, and why so many patients leave standard care feeling like the problem was never fully
solved. That experience is what you get when you work with me.
I founded The Nerve to Heal Rehabilitation because I knew there was a better way. A way where
you’re not rushed through a 20-minute session shared with three other patients. Where your
therapist actually knows your name, your goals, and how your body moves — because it’s the same
person every time. Where treatment is designed around your life, not an insurance company’s
timeline
My desire was to build a practice that engages with people as God’s highest form of creation—listening to understand and compassionately meeting them where they are. Our approach values whole-person healing by blending skilled physical therapy with mindfulness, positive reinforcement, and guided affirmations to support both physical recovery and emotional well-being. A concierge model allows me to provide this level of attentive, individualized care to each person I serve.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading personal development books, serving in my church, staying active, and hiking outdoors.
If you’re ready to work with someone who has lived the experience, built a practice around solving the problem, and will be fully present with you every session — I’d love to hear your story. The first conversation is free.
We believe some things deeply — about how healing works, what patients deserve, and what greatcare actually looks like. Before you book your first visit, we want you to know exactly where we stand.
At the Nerve to Heal Rehabilitation, we believe true healing occurs when the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, and human experience are treated as one unified system.
Our person-centred approach is grounded in modern neuroscience, motor learning strategies, and evidence-based neurological rehabilitation techniques to promote neuroplasticity, restore mobility, and empower lifelong independence.
Every patient receives individualized, one-on-one treatment in their natural environment, allowing therapy to translate directly into real-life function. We incorporate mindfulness, positive reinforcement, and guided affirmations to support motivation, confidence, emotional resilience, and nervous system regulation throughout the healing process; movement is guided by the nervous system and supported by the body.
We’re not here to manage your condition indefinitely — we’re here to help you get back to living. Health, independence, and
longevity are the goal, not just symptom relief.
Many neurological and musculoskeletal problems don’t happen overnight. They develop gradually — from poor movement habits, stress, inactivity, or the cumulative effect of a nervous system that has been under strain for years.
For those already feeling healthy and active, our Wellness approach is designed to help you stay that way –by refining movement, improving body awareness, and preventing future limitations before they begin.
Our model allows patients to seamlessly transition from rehabilitation into long-term wellness services as they choose without the confinement of insurance restricted care. This flexibility helps our patients maintain gains made in strength, balance, postural awareness, gait quality, and confidence.
Whether recovering from injury or optimizing lifelong movement health, our programs support every phase of your journey to vitality.
